Pelican Stars signs new players, resume training for 2018/2019 season

The management of Pelican Stars Football Club of Calabar has signed six new players ahead of the new season scheduled to commence in February.

The team, which has resumed training at the U.J Esuene Sport Stadium in Calabar is determined to emerge victorious at the National Women League table.

Addressing the players after training, Chairman of Pelican Stars, Comrade Sam Kombor, said that the Commissioner of Sport, Comrade Asu Okang, had provided the enabling resources and kits for the queens to excel in the new season.

The Chairman, who urged the players to bring out their best in the season to win trophies, called on corporate bodies and telecommunication giants to indicate interest in the sponsorship of the club.

According to him, the team has players who have played for Under 20 in Nigeria, adding that the club has raw talents that if well harnessed will win trophies for the club and Nigeria at large.
