SKYRUN Calabar has employed more than 1000 Cross Riverians – AGM

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) of SKYRUN International Group, Nigeria, Mr. Ogar Denis Ogidi has reiterated that about one thousand (1000) people have been employed at the Calabar Factory Plant.

Ogar stated this during the the official commissioning of SKYRUN Ultra-Modern Deep Freezer/Refrigerator Factory by His Excellency Olusegun Obasanjo, Former President of Nigeria at Calabar Free Trade Zone, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

He added that, after the completion of the factory and by next year, they will increase the value to three thousand (3000). “Our employment rate will hit 3,000 by next year when the factory is fully commissioned.

“Currently, we have employed more than 1000. We don’t only employ staffs to pay salaries, but to train them and give them the technical know-how, so that if they decided to quit their jobs today, they can fair well out there.

“Our objective is to create employment and improve the economy of the state and that of the nation”, Ogar added.

Speaking also, the General Supervisor, Mr. Ephraim Dominic, a Graduate from the department of Computer Science, University of Calabar, said every SKYRUN fridges found in the entire Nigeria are produced in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

Ephraim emphasised on the the quality of the products manufactured at the factory, saying there are authentic and strong. “The products are strong and authentic. We give one year warranty for our products too.

“The Nigerian Customs come here time to time to check the quality of the products, and there are all authentic and strong”.

Ephraim further said, among the staffs employed at the factory, 75% are from Cross River State. “The staffs are mostly youths, 75% percent of which are Cross Riverians”, he said.
