Routes to take and where to park during the Calabar Carnival to avoid hold up and car arrest

The Government of Cross River State in collaboration with security, tax force, DOPT and other government parastatals has announced that the roads will be blocked by 8:00am during the Carnival Calabar main event. This is not to make you panic as solutions has been provided to suit your needs.

The following roads will be open during the events; Lemna Road to Goodluck Ebele Johnathan Bypass, Etta-Agbor, Highway to Essien Town entrance, Diamond Road by Essien Town, Ekong Eta, Mekenge Layout, Goldie, Ibok Street, Ikot Ishie, Ikot Efa road, Ikot Eyo road, and Marina Road respectively while Calabar Road through Stadium to Mary Slessor, Marian Road, Effio Ette, MCC Road and Highway by Mobile to Stadium will be totally block for the roads are were the event will take place.

Parking space made available include, Marina Resorts, 11 11, Zoo garden Park, Mary Slessor Park, Parliamentary by Effio Ette Park, Anansa by MCC Road, Atekong Drive, etc. The following places should not be used as parkin spaces as defaulters will be penalized and their vehicles will be high-jacked too. These places include; Ibok, Ikot Eyo and Ikot Efa Street by Parliamentary Road, Mekenge Layout, Diamond Road, Ekong Eta, Ikot Ishie, Asari Eso, etc.
