Ayade's Vanguard Governor of the year Award excites Ita Giwa

Senator Florence Ita-Giwa has expressed excitement at the choice of Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State as the Governor of the Year by Vanguard Media Limited, publishers of Vanguard Newspapers.
Ita-Giwa said she was not surprised at the award on Governor Ayade by Vanguard Media Limited, given the economic revolution currently going on in the state, coupled with the giant strides he has achieved in the last one and a half years of his administration.

Ayade has also been nominated by Authority and Business Halmark newspapers as their Governor of the Year based on his commitment to transforming the socio-economic landscape of the state through massive industrialisation.

Commending Governor Ayade for the award, ita-Giwa said: “I am not surprised at all. This is obviously a recognition of the awesome revolution going on in Cross River under Ayade. It is clearly a recognition of the strong passion Ayade has brought to governance in the state and his determination to make Cross River the leading state in Nigeria.’’

According to Ita-Giwa,” It is very clear today, that Cross River State is the number one state in the country and this can be attributed to the energy Ayade has brought to governance. Everything is working in the state.’’

While commending the for for making the welfare of the workers in the state one of the cardinal thrusts of governance, the former federal lawmaker noted that “Cross River State is the only state that regularly and promptly pays salaries today in Nigeria. It is the only state today in the country in this period of recession where jobs are being created for the people. Today, we have the largest garment factory in the Africa where over 3000 women and poor widows have been gainfully employed. I can go on and on to list the many success stories of Governor Ayade-led administration in the state.”

To this end, she called on all Cross Riverians to “support the governor so that he help make the state grow”.
