The affected community

Information reaching Calabar Reporters newsroom states that there’s been a landslide in Biase Local Government Area (LGA) of Cross River State.

State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) says over 3,000 houses may be washed away as landslide hits Agwagune community in Biase LGA of Cross River State, says SEMA

However, residents in the community have been advised to evacuate the area to a safer ground to avoid deaths and injuries.

Meanwhile, our reporter says the situation is so ugly and the people need an urgent help from the Government or any one.

Recently, Senator Gershom Bassey, Senator representing Cross River State Southern Senatorial District has been on the forefront when it comes to helping the Biase people. He has donated an 8 HP Speed boat, schools fees and others to the local government. We hope he gets in line and continue his good Samarithan work.
