Yala local government elders and traditional rulers have described the ambition of Joe Agi SAN as ill and reckless.

The elders, who declared their full support for Governor Ayade, appealed to Cross riverians and every interest group in the tussle for leadership of the state, to remain calm for the good of the state.

Addressing journalists on Monday in Calabar, Chief Ogamode Adoga Ipuole, who read the communique of a meeting they held at Okpoma, , commended Cross riverians for their support and calmness which the elders said, has helped to reduced tension in the State.

It reads: “We, the concerned elders of YALA local government , worried by the developments in the last few days which threatened to plunge our State into anarchy, violence and bloodshed, met today in Okpoma to review the situation”

“We reviewed the Ambition of Joe Agi, which was the beginning of the unfortunate tension and politics of hate.

“We came to the conclusion, unanimously, that Joe Agi’s ambition who never contested the governorship election against the Electoral will of cross rverians and well known decisions of the party is reckless and we condemn it in its entirety.”

Let’s hope Cross Riverians show themselves come December 9, 2016 .
