500,000 BCS worshippers to celebrate Olumba’s birthday


More than 500,000 worshippers of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) from around the world are expected to participate in the celebration of the birthday of the Sole Spiritual Leader of the organization, His Holiness, Olumba Olumba Obu this year.

BCS spokesperson, Archbishop Princely Ibeabuchi, who made the disclosure on Wednesday in Calabar while briefing newsmen said the event which would be celebrated at the World Headquarters of BCS, Ambo Street, Calabar on November 20, 2016 would also be observed at all BCS formations across the world.

Arcbishop Ibeabuchi said the period will be used to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the sick and broken hearted and to preach deliverance to the captives.

“It is also a period to re-emphasis and explain the King of King’s central mission and roles on crucial matters of His Rulership, love, divinity, power, dominium and judgement in order to reshape the behavior of man by teaching them to imbibe the ways of God to avert eminent condemnation,” the BCS Spokesperson said.

Archbishop Ibeabuchi disclosed that the divine manifestation of His Holiness Olumba Obu is an annual event in BCS formation throughout the world on November 20 of every year, adding that this year’s event will be organized Blessed Mothers of the New Kingdom a fold in the organization.

“Worthy of note is the fact that the Holy Father has approved this year’s celebration to be a week- long event. The period will be used as a medium to celebrate his birth and everlasting throne revealed by prophet Isaiah and John in Revelation 12:5 ,to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the sick and broken hearted,” he added.

According to him the event which was flagged-off on Monday, November 14, 2016, will feature a visit by His Holiness, Olumba Olumba Obu to orphanages and  prison yards, as part of activities to mark his birthday.

Other highlights also include daily morning prayers, community services around Calabar and an Open kitchen where food would be served free on November 17 and November 20, 2016.
