The second edition of the 2016 Carnival Calabar dry run has been slated for Sunday afternoon on November 20, 2016.
Executive secretary of the Cross River Carnival Commission, Mr. Austine Cobham, who disclosed this in a statement in Calabar said the third and final dry run has also been scheduled for Sunday, December 11, 2016.
Cobham thanked the people of Calabar, the media and security agencies for a very successful hosting of the first carnival dry run for 2016.

He restated the state governor’s resolve to take the country and the entire African continent by storm by making the 2016 edition bigger, better and bolder.
According to him innovations have been put in place to attract more investors, tourists, fun lovers and seekers to savour this year’s carnival Calabar, adjudged as the biggest street party in Africa.
While thanking the Church for the cooperation it received during the dry run, he solicited support for the second and third dry run to ensure that the main event.
The time for the kick-off has also been slated to hold by 2pm prompt so not to disrupt any church activities.
