The Special Adviser, SA to the Cross River governor on Due Process and Price Intelligence, Barr Alphonsus Ogar Eba, has lauded the governor, Prof Ben Ayade, for making his presence felt in the Imaje community through the provision of electricity to service the needs of the people and neigbhouring communities
Eba, who gave the commendation after the governor commissioned the transformer that would supply power to the communities at Imaje recently said “I have declared today that I am dedicating the rest of my political followership to Prof Ben Ayade. Wherever he goes, I will go with him. Whatever he does, we will approve of it because this is a man that has been approved of God to take us to the next level.”
He applauded the chiefs and people of Imaje and Ekprinyi for the unity of intent and purpose they have displayed, choosing to bury their hatchet and embrace the dividends of democracy made manifest by the public power supply brought about by the administration of Ayade.
The SA noted that “today, my community has been given light. Only recently, these two communities (Imaje and Ekprinyi) were embroiled in squabbles and were almost prepared to go to war, but today, light has brought us together and the elders of both communities are united by one common amenity. Peace has returned and I have God, and Prof Ayade to thank.”
Expressing optimism that the electricity would eventually stretch to Echumafana, Yache and Gabu in the nearest future, decried the fact that “even the efforts made by former governors, the intervention of the former local government council under Mathew Ojugbo, as well as the intervention made by the Niger Delta Development Commission courtesy of Senator Liyel Imoke, never yielded results because we were still living in darkness.”
He enjoined the people of Yala local government area to identify with and queue behind “the erudite, of God-ordained governor who is set to give generous dividends of democracy and give a new lease of life to the people of Yala and, indeed every Cross Riverian.
