The Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards just completed its  2016 edition with familiar and unexpected big names coming into the limelight to clinch a pinch for their prestige. Artists like Canadian born singer, Drake, aka Drizzy and Wizkid Ayo where the prominent artist people expected to take down the stage. Meanwhile, unexpected old-time act like Craig David who beats his contemporaries to cop the ‘Best Male Act’ was a wow.

Also, the event saw the likes of Craig David, Laura Mvula, Lady Leshurr, Wiley, and Section Boyz, giving an outstanding performance at the forthnight amongst others.

Winning the the duo of Best Male and Artists of the Year at the MTV African Music Awards (MAMA) last month, Nigerian sensational singer, Wizkid top the chart again as he won the Best African Act at the MOBO 2016 awards night.

Best Gospel Act – Guvna B

Best Reggae Act – Popcaan

Best African Act – Wiz Kid

Paving The Way – Nicola Adams and Ms Dynamite
