Truck crushes a Toyota Highlander at Calabar Highway by Hit Fm (Photos)

An alleged Dangote  truck just crushed a gold colour Toyota Highlander with number plate, Lagos – AGL-38DR at the Ikot Effanga U-turn, directly opposite Hit FM 95.9, Calabar. The car was said to be carrying school children and the incident happened at about 2pm in the afternoon.

According to eye-witness, the Highlander was about to make a U-turn when a rushing truck crushed the face of the vehicle leaving it in a state you are seeing in the pictures below. Finding by Calabar Reporters suggest the car users were slight injured with the driver harbouring lots of the injury.

When Calabar Reported reported the scene, the victims had been rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment while the truck that caused the accident was nowhere to be found. One Mr Emeka said the truck ran off after the incident and disappeared before the crowd settled. It was a bad experience, and thank God no one was killed, he said.

By the time of filing this report, the damaged gold colour Toyota Highlander is still at the point where the accident took place; at Ikot Effanga Mkpa junction, opposite Hit FM at the Murtala Mohammed Highway, Calabar. Although, our correspondent tried to contact the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), but the 112 and 122 emergency numbers where not connecting. We’d hope they got reached so they can clear the vehicle off the road to reduce traffic congestion in the area. See photos of the incident below…
